I’m very happy to announce that the two Spartacus books have sold to Brazil. They will be published by Ediouro. I haven’t got any publishing dates yet, but it’s tremendous news. Brazil is an enormous market, and historical fiction by the likes of Bernard Cornwell and Conn Iggulden is very popular there. Obrigado!
In non-Roman news, there are two days to go until the 2012 Heineken Cup final, which this year takes place in Twickenham. For the first time ever, it’s an all-Irish final too! I put my money where my mouth was and bought tickets at the QF stage, and now my home team, Leinster, are facing Ulster. Two of my mates from home are coming over and we’ll all head up to London on Saturday morning. There may well be a *cough* few beers drunk after that. May the best team win!

Hi Ben, well done for selling in Brazil. You’ve cracked it in Brazil because it’s a growing economy, and the facts that they’ve got the World Cup there in 2014 and the Olympics 2 years after that, is only a small fraction of the economic luck they’ve been getting in recent years. That’s why I particularly think youll do well there.
Enjoy the match tomorrow – Blackpool FC will also be in London playing at Wembley, but unlike 2 years ago I won’t be there, because I’ve got some Roman military art work to catch up on, which you’ll see when it’s finished. You’ll be surprised by one of them, but I’ll keep that secret under wraps for now. Well done again for your Brazillian venture.
