So today’s the day when Spartacus gets released in the States. I’m hoping that it will be the beginning of a new chapter over there. If truth be known, my books haven’t sold nearly as well as they have here. I’d like that situation to change. So I’m doing quite a lot of online promotion for it. A big blog tour (lots of stops, interviews and guest posts). Advertising on Goodreads. Advertising on high traffic sites such as Perez Hilton dot com. It’s 8 days until Spartacus: The Gladiator is released in the USA, and 80 days until the sequel, Spartacus: Rebellion, is released here in the UK. To celebrate, I’m running a flash 24 hour competition to win one of 2 signed paperbacks of the first book – Spartacus: The Gladiator.

Spartacus launches in the States in just 11 days, on the 5th of June. To try and create as much buzz about it as possible, I am doing a big blog (30+) tour, with lots of guest posts and book giveaways. I’m very happy to announce that the two Spartacus books have sold to Brazil. They will be published by Ediouro. I haven’t got any publishing dates yet, but it’s tremendous news. Brazil is an enormous market, and historical fiction by the likes of Bernard Cornwell and Conn Iggulden is very popular there. Obrigado!
Archaeological students in Germany on an experimental dig found far more than they bargained for when they chanced upon the foundations of a Roman temple recently. Read more about it here. Incredible how these things keep being found. Long may that continue!
Been busy recently, tidying up the last edits of Spartacus: Rebellion. It’s released on the 16th of August, which is in 100 days. Exciting! Had a good night out 10 days ago or so at the fab launch for Anthony Riches and Giles Kristian’s new books, The Leopard Sword and The Bleeding Land respectively.
